Learn more about me

Learning about human behaviour and the motives that cause people to act in one way or another has always been a keen interest of mine.  I have always had an insatiable curiosity towards hearing what people have to say and learning more about the deeper meaning to the unresolved issues that lie within.  It is a privilege to be allowed insight into a person’s private existence and to be part of a process that involves personal growth and self-awareness.

By building a personal and genuine relationship based on trust and genuineness, a therapeutic relationship evolves which involves appreciating as well as understanding an individual’s unique experience of life.  I have a burning passion to help individuals and their loved ones to find wellness through a meaningful, intelligent and empathetic therapeutic encounter. Understanding emotional experiences are often complex but it is valuable work invested in oneself which aids in more informed decision making processes.

As a true Marriage and Family therapist, it is my genuine conviction that it is through interactions with others that a deeper meaning of self is allowed to emerge.  Self is often defined in the context of our most intimate relationships.  My training in systems orientated thinking with an emphasis on cultural understanding has allowed me to examine relationships and their meanings from an attachment perspective

My multicultural identity and international background has given me exposure to many people from different backgrounds and cultures which make me understand issues from a unique perspective thus wanting to be an important catalyst towards transforming lives.  Originally from the United Kingdom and having recently completed my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Alliant International University and another Masters in Sociology from Goldsmiths College, University of London I have had experience working with a variety of issues including self confidence, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, addiction, eating disorders as well as  specializing in LGBTQ issues.  I have also had extensive experience in providing equine assisted therapy.  I work from an emotion focused model and provide support through life’s challenges from both a relational and attachment perspective.
